How do you burn cds on a hp pavilion pc with windows vista?

i have downloaded music from limewire and imported it into WMP.....have tried to burn the cds but the only place it will play is on the computer......i have used cd-r and cd-rw's it still doesnt work....i no it is not the computer because i just bought it brand new just last week......please help!!!!!!!!
