I have a question about a misplaced foley cathether tip?

i had a miscarriage last week and they needed to fill my bladder for the ultrasound. while the technician was doing the ultrasoud she said the tip was not in my bladder, but somewhere else. she said she drained everything, but my question is where did it go and did it harm anything.
