When I have my router hooked up I lose my connection all the time!?

It seems every half an hour or so I have to click on repair connection to fix it. However if I turn on my ps3 and play a game, I don't lose the connection at all, usually. I have my ps3 hooked up through wifi and my computer is hooked up with the wire. Anyone know how I can fix the computer connectivity issue? I'm using a cisco /linksys router model #WRT54GS2. Lately I haven't been playing the ps3 so I've just been hooking up the computer directly to my modem, and I have no trouble. So it's gotta be the router.
