I want to be a police officer but I am color blind?

Can someone who is color blind still pursue a career in law enforcement as a police officer. I took the basic Ishihara Test for Color Blindness and I failed it but I can still see colors.I never knew I was color blind. And during the test I was still able to see some of the numbers vaguely in other words I could see some of the numbers that only normal visioned people could see and I also could see numbers that only color blind people would see. Would I still be able to become a police officer?
