A Question About Fire bellied Newts?:PLEASE ANSWER!?

I can't see the pic, but it's been my experience that they spend most of their time in the water, so I'd probably go ahead and do the half water/half land setup. It's real easy if you get some aquarium gravel, and have it slope from on end of the tank to the other, put a couple inches of water in the tank, and viola! I think a dish would be harder for them to get in and out of.
